Chili Cookoff for the BallPark 2026

Fans of Valley Field is an all-volunteer group (501c3) that has been raising money and working with the city to renovate and activate historic Sullivan (formerly Valley) Field, here on the WestSide.

Did you know that more than 100 MLB players have played there? It’s one of only a handful of wooden grandstand baseball stadiums left in the country.

They are once again hosting the annual Chili CookOff at the Ballpark (www.ballparkchili.com) - but this year, it’s being held offsite, since the ballpark is under construction.

There are 28 teams making chili. Lots of chili. 6 gallons minimum. We all know how expensive groceries are, so we want to give goodie bags to the teams. Bridge Street Market has already stepped up to give each team a coupon worth $10, and a chip clip. If you would like to contribute to this, please contact Paul Soltysiak at info@fansofvalleyfield.org. (by September 11, please!) As always, all proceeds go to the ballpark.
