Alma’s Way: Welcome to My Neighborhood! opens May 27 at GRCM!!
Join us on Tuesday, May 27 at 9am for our grand opening celebration, featuring:
A ribbon cutting at 9am
Special programming + photo ops
Meet-and-greet with Alma herself at 10am, 12pm, & 2pm!
This exhibit is based on the PBS KIDS show, Alma’s Way, which features the adventures of 6-year-old Alma as she learns to think for herself, solve problems and find solutions! Explore Alma’s neighborhood in the Bronx as you practice critical thinking skills and celebrate vibrant Puerto Rican culture in this new exhibit.
Be transported to Alma’s colorful neighborhood to explore a bustling Bodega
Visit a local community center with Bomba instruments and dance
Visit Alma’s father’s Pet Clinic
Take a ride on a 6 Subway train and Park as well as Alma’s family Duplex where her Puerto Rican extended family lives and plays
Alma loves solving problems and finding solutions, and young visitors will too!
